Her art students /English students range from Primary School children to Secondary School GCSE and A Level art students / A Level English students through to help with written work (essays, thesis) and presentation at Foundation and BA level, or indeed anyone wishing to improve their English writing, design, drawing or painting skills - as well as art marketing abilities.

Below is information about art courses for the younger child, as well as examples of art and English tutoring at higher levels (GCSE through to BA).

Art Courses for the Younger Child
Too young to draw? How young is too young for your baby to learn to draw? Cathy Bird has more than thirty years experience as an art teacher with students at all levels and she maintains that the younger the better, when it comes to drawing and painting.

According to Cathy - " It is amazing that a child as young as nine to ten months can actually participate in these classes. Sometimes you might feel that they are not taking it in, but a few weeks later, they pick up a crayon and it's all there!" In this short series of lessons, it is the parents, as well as the children, who are taught a sequence of drawing games that have been developed and tested over years.

The effect of these exercises extends far beyond infant years. They lay in mind/hand co-ordination that will be invaluable when it comes to handwriting. They are the basics of drawing and self-expression. Above all they are fun, and children love them!"

An initial Course of Four Lessons of 45 minutes each lesson. (10-15 minutes with the children and 20 - 30 minutes with the parents):

Lesson One: Introduction to Dot Dot Dot!
Lesson Two: Let's have fun with colour!
Lesson Three: What can we do Now?
Lesson Four: Animals for the Ark.
